What should I bring to class?
You don’t really need to bring anything - just yourself! But a few optional things can be helpful:
-
A yoga mat – If you have one. If not, don’t worry, I always have spares and you’re welcome to use one of mine.. (Most people decide to get their own after a couple of classes once they know yoga is for them.)
-
A bottle of water – Staying hydrated is always a good idea.
-
A jumper or hoody – At the end of class we take time for relaxation. The room is usually warm, but as we lie down our bodies can cool, so an extra layer helps you feel cosy.
If we need yoga blocks or straps, I’ll provide them – so no need to bring those.

What do I need to wear?
Wear something comfortable that you can easily move around in - leggings and t-shirts are ideal. It’s also handy to have a cosy top or hoody to wear for our relaxation at the end of class. As yoga is done barefoot, you don’t need trainers.
I’m not very bendy - can I still come?
Yes! You don’t have to be bendy or fit to enjoy yoga. We are all different and I give various options for our yoga poses so that you can do whatever feels best for your body that day.
What is the minimum age for adult classes?
Anyone over the age of 16 years is welcome.

Do you offer one-to-one classes?
No, I don’t currently offer one-to-one classes. I truly enjoy the energy and connection that comes with teaching group classes!!

I have an injury or medical issue - will the class be suitable for me?
When you book your first class, I will send you a health form to complete and you can tell me about any medical issues which may affect your yoga practice. If you are unsure whether yoga is for you, please contact me before booking and we can have a chat before you book.

I'm a complete beginner - which is the best class for me?
I would recommend my Gentle Yoga class. This is a calming and supportive session, working on the foundation poses of yoga and simple sequences. It's the best place to start (especially if you are a bit nervous!) and is a very friendly class. My Yoga for All classes are mixed ability and a little bit more challenging but also suitable for beginners. You will certainly be very welcome in whichever one you choose!

Do I need to book a block of classes?
No, all of my classes are pay as you go, so you can book each week you want to join us.
How do I pay for classes?
All class bookings are made online in advance. You can pay securely by card, Apple Pay, or PayPal – whichever is easiest for you. I don’t take payments at the class itself.
Booking ahead guarantees your place in class and helps me keep group sizes comfortable and welcoming for everyone.

What if I need to cancel?
No problem! If you can’t make it to class, just let me know at least 12 hours before the start time. I’ll be happy to offer you either a refund or a transfer to another class.
Where are the classes held?
Gentle Yoga, Yoga for All and Vinyasa Flow classes take place at Ketley Community Centre in Telford on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The Community Centre is a beautiful old school building with plenty of parking. You’ll find more details including the full address, map and photos on my website here.

My Thursday evening class is held at Kynnersley Village Hall, Telford, TF6 6DX.

I’m pregnant, can I come to your regular classes?
You are very welcome to join my 'Gentle Yoga' class, which is suitable for 14 weeks of pregnancy onwards. As a qualified Pregnancy Yoga teacher I can give you modifications to suit your changing body as we practice together. Pregnant yogis have told me that they love being part of a regular class!
If you are pregnant, please let me know before attending your first class - and feel free to reach out with any questions in advance. This way I can help you get the most out of each session.

Do you offer hands-on adjustments during classes?
No, I don’t. Instead, I prefer to guide the class using verbal cues. This approach helps everyone find their own alignment and the version of each pose that feels best for their body. I believe your body knows what’s right for you, and my role is to support that awareness and growth through mindful instruction.
