Do I need a yoga mat?

Please bring a yoga mat if you have one.  Don’t worry if you haven’t,  I always have spares with me and you are welcome to use one of mine.

What do I need to wear?

Wear something comfortable that you can easily move around in - leggings and t-shirts are ideal.  It’s also handy to have a cosy top or hoody to wear for our relaxation at the end of class.  As yoga is done barefoot, you don’t need trainers.

I’m not very bendy - can I still come?

Yes!  You don’t have to be bendy or fit to enjoy yoga.  We are all different and I give various options for our yoga poses so that you can do whatever feels best for your body that day.

What is the minimum age for adult classes?

Anyone over the age of 16 years is welcome.

I have an injury or medical issue - will the class be suitable for me?

When you book your first class, I will send you a health form to complete and you can tell me about any medical issues which may affect your yoga practice.  If you are unsure whether yoga is for you, please contact me before booking and we can have a chat before you book.

I'm a complete beginner - which is the best class for me?

I would recommend my Yoga Basics class which is every Monday, 7-8pm.  This is a gentle class, working on the foundation poses of yoga and simple sequences.  It's the best place to start (especially if you are a bit nervous!) a very friendly class.

Do I need to book a block of classes?

Only for Pregnancy Yoga or Mum and Baby Yoga.  All of my other classes are pay as you go, so you can book each week you want to join us.

Where are the classes held?

All classes take place at Ketley Community Centre in Telford.  It’s a beautiful old school building with plenty of parking.  You’ll find more details including the full address, map and photos on my website here.

I’m pregnant, can I come to your regular classes?

It’s much better to come to my pregnancy yoga classes!  In a regular class, you might find that you have to miss parts of the class, ie where we are lying on our bellies or our backs.  Pregnancy Yoga is designed especially for your changing body - it's also a lovely way to connect with other local pregnant women.  (See also my FAQs about Pregnancy Yoga below.)

I would like to join Mum and Baby Yoga - what age babies it is suitable for?

This class is suitable for babies from 6 weeks to crawling (at that age they are more interested in exploring the room!).  You'll find a few more FAQs about Mum and Baby Yoga here.

Do I need to be fit or have experience of yoga?

Pregnancy yoga is a gentle, nurturing practice and you certainly don’t need to be fit to do it.  Whether you are brand new to yoga or have done it before, you are very welcome to join us.

I want to book a Pregnancy Yoga course but can’t make all of the dates…

No problem, just let me know which dates you can join us and I will reduce the price of the course for you.

Can I bring my partner / mum with me?

Pregnancy yoga is designed especially for you so I keep the class to pregnant yogis only.
